Mary Ginnard

Mary Ginnard
Mary Ginnard is the Club's Head Pro. She has a Certified Pro 1 rating with USPTA. Mary has twice been ranked #1 nationally in 50 Doubles. In 1999 she won the ITF Vet World Championship, 45 Doubles, with Club member Lil Petow. Form 1999 to 2002 she won five National Championships in Doubles and two in Singles. In 2003 she won two 50s National Doubles championships.

Rudy Hernando

Rudy Hernando Rudy, who was nationally ranked #22 in the Men's Open category, recently won 2 more gold balls in national competition. In May 2004, he won the 65 Men's Hardcourt Championship in California, beating Herman Ahlers 6-4, 6-2. In June, he beat Fred Farazanigan 6-2, 6-1 to win the National Clay Court Championships in New Orleans. In doubles, he was a member of the 65 Men's Brittanica Cup. He and LTC club member Don Beidinger were runner-ups in 3 national championships this year - on clay, hard and grass, and in Sept. they were runner-ups in the World Cup I.T.F. World Championships in Philadelphia. Rudy will be ranked #1 in the country in the 65's this year.

Cindy LeProvost

Cindy LeProvost


Cindy has a Certified Pro 1 rating with USPTA. She is a member of the Adult Competitive and Recreational Council, and she is Regional Head Verifier for the adult league programs in Florida. Cindy was the USTA 25 & Over Doubles Champion in 1994 and 1997, and the USTA 30 & Over Doubles Champion in 1996.

Dale LeProvost


Dale is a former University of Iowa tennis coach, and was Tennis Director at Don Shula's Club for 15 years. He has been a Touring Professional, and was a National finalist in the USTA Open Division.

Lori Sowell

Lori Sowell
Lori is a 2003 inductee into the Florida State University Hall of Fame. She won the2002 National Women's Open Clay Court Championship with her sister, Club member Colette Kienle.

Lori is a former #1 player at FSU, graduating in 1997. She was a two-time All American, and was awarded Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Year as a sophmore. She played on the "Bundesliga" German team for 5 years.
